Eugene Sandona was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 21st, 1960 to Robert Sandona Sr and Emily (Wasserman) Sandona.

He graduated from Forest Park High School in 1977 and completed some college classes. He married Julie FinenDale in 2012. They were married for 2 years but together for over 10. Previously he married Lisa Wiggins and Shirley Smith.

Gene was a man of many talents. He worked in construction building houses and laying brick, operated heavy machinery in Texas and drove truck cross country. Gene also dabbled in entrepreneurship, starting a business with his wife and always had a new money making ideas. He was a very smart man. Gene enjoyed fishing on his boat and performing random fix it jobs around the house. Gene could fix anything from computers to cars and everything in between. He loved spending time with his friends and family, you could always count on him for a laugh. He also enjoyed learning new hobbies like photography and woodworking.

Eugene is survived by his two children Eugene 32 and Morgan 27, his wife Julie and his mother, Emily 91. He also leaves behind step children and too much extended family to name them all.

Gene is preceded in death by his former wife Lisa Sandona, both siblings and his father.

A Memorial Brunch will be held in his honor on Saturday, January 24th, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. In the Lake Antoine Room at Recreation Lanes in Iron Mountain.
