1935 - 2017

Rowland P. “Rollie” Trepanier, age 81, of Oconto, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Bellin Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born November 19, 1935, son of late Francis “Tonsie” and Mary DeKaster Trepanier. He served in the United States Marine Corp as a Corporal from 1954-1958 and received a National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal in 1953. Rowland was enlisted in the USMC. He continued his military service with the National Guard until 1961.

Rowland had a passion for working. Throughout his years he was a truck driver and later on became a cabinet maker, which he did for over 40 years. He also enjoyed working in the garage in his free time, having a few beers and sitting back and admiring his work. His family and friends loved hearing his stories about the good ol' days, always putting a humorous twist on them and making everyone smile and laugh.

Rowland is survived by his wife, Sandra "Sandy" (VanNorman) Trepanier, MI; 6 children: Cynthia "Cindy" (Jeff) Pogrant, Abrams, Leonard Trepanier, Green Bay, Tammy (Michael) Stackhouse, Eau Claire, Rose (Kevin) VanNorman, Oconto, Michael Trepanier (special friend Tammy), Green Bay and Shawn Trepanier (special friend Summer), Green Bay; 3 step-children: Dean Lemke, MI, Melissa Lemke, MT and BillieJo Gee Lemke, MT; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers: Gary Trepanier, Oconto, Francis Trepanier, Oconto, John Trepanier, Oconto; sister, Barbra Aubry Trepanier, Oshkosh; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

His parents, Francis and Mary Trepanier; daughter, Debra Trepanier; brother, Richard “Dickie” Trepanier; nephew, Brad Trepanier and great-grandson, Cyan Karbon preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay) Saturday June 3, 2017 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Full military honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the visitation. To leave an online condolence for the family, please visit www.NewcomerFuneralHome.com.
