Joseph Dax obituary: Joseph Dax's Obituary, Green Bay
In Memory Of
Joseph A. "Joe" Dax
1932 - 2017
In Memory Of
Joseph A. "Joe" Dax
1932 - 2017
Joe had a true passion for farming and purchased a farm of his own, August 1, 1967. Meanwhile he continued to work for Badger State Cheese and dedicated 25 years working there until they closed. For another 20 years, he worked for Casco FS Co-op delivering fuel all over the tri-county area.
Joe enjoyed spending time reading and was a historian who loved telling stories. He had a natural talent in woodworking and enjoyed playing cards with his friends. After his retirement, his all-time favorite past-time was taking his gator down to the home farm to watch and feed the animals. Joe was a hard working man that instilled his work ethic in his children, in which he took great pride. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Susan; 6 children: David (Jean) Dax, Steven (Ann) Dax, Kathy (Paul Jasinski) Ledvina, Joseph J. (special friend, Cindy Konop) Dax, Jack (Rosann) Dax and Carolyn (Richard) Kinjerski; 17 grandchildren: Alex, Andy, Adam, Ben, Crystal, Eric, Sara, Nick, Joe, Cassie, Patrick, Tracy, Chelsea, Garrett, Blake, Courtney and Sierra; 30 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Myra Daul and Esther Borkovitz and a brother, Larry Dax.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Nathan and a brother, Donald Dax.
Visitation will be held at ST. THOMAS THE APOSTLE PARISH (5930 Humboldt Rd., Luxemburg), Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 9 to 10:45 AM. A memorial Mass will follow at 11AM. Newcomer Funeral Home, Green Bay, has been entrusted with arrangements. To leave an online condolence for the family, please visit www.NewcomerGreenBay.com.
Joe's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Unity Hospice, especially his primary nurse, Dar, and an extra special thank you to his granddaughter, Sierra, who cared for him daily until the very end. She will forever be his angel.
