Gloria was born on October 12, 1942 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Morris Cornelius and Nellie (Metoxen) Acheson. She was a caregiver her entire career working within numerous health care facilities. She loved music, including Ozzy Osbourne, Elvis, Kid Rock, Kenny Rogers, and numerous other artists. She was an avid Packers fan and loved watching football and wrestling. The most important part of her life and legacy is that of the love she had for her family.
She will be sadly missed by her six children: Crystal (David) Brudie, Melanie (Dan VanDenzen) Burkhart, Morris "Wayne" (Elizabeth) Snelius, Chuck (Tracey Hebb) Cornelius, Earl "Bem" (Cindy) Cornelius Jr., Doug (Lucinda Skolaski) Cornelius. Gloria also leaves 1 sister, Janet (Howard) Lien, and 3 brothers: Wayne (Brenda) Cornelius, Jerry (Debbie Melchert) Cornelius, and Francis (Henri) Cornelius in addition to 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Gloria is preceded in death by a brother, Richard Cornelius, grandson, David Brudie II, and a niece, Tami Cornelius.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 26th from 2 - 5 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. Visitation will resume on Monday, from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM at Oneida United Methodist Church, 6048 Co. Rd. E, De Pere, WI. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the Church. Interment will be in the Oneida Methodist Cemetery.
