Marilyn Marie Schraufnagel, 81, of New Franken, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on April 26, 2022.

Marilyn was born in Humboldt, Wisconsin on June 26, 1940, to Henry and Irene (DeGrand) Deprey. On March 11, 1961 she married the love of her life, Hubert (Hub) Schraufnagel and they were married for 61 wonderful years.

Marilyn loved children and babysat for many years. She loved to crochet afghans, pot holders and baby items (which she often donated to St.Vincent Hospital). She liked bowling and played on bowling leagues for a number of years. In her later years one of her favorite pass times was going to the casino and playing slots. Marilyn was known for making the best pumpkin pies around!

Marilyn is survived by her husband, her children, Debbie (Tim Rentz) Schraufnagel, Mike (Amy) Schraufnagel, Dan (Pam) Schraufnagel, grandchildren Krissy (Zach Miller) Schraufnagel, Marah Niemuth, her siblings Randy (Debbie) Heurkens and Joanne (Ken) Van Pay and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step father Charles Heurkens, her brother Donny DeGrand, niece Amy Van Pay and numerous other family members.

Special thank you to Kewaunee Health Services and Unity Hospice for their compassionate care.

A visitation for Marilyn will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (5930 Humboldt Rd, Luxemburg, WI 54217) on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00 am.
