Robert J. “Bob” Harteau Sr., 91, passed away peacefully at his Green Bay home on March 3rd, 2021. He was born on July 8, 1929 to the late Robert and Margaret (Pankratz) Harteau in Oconto Falls, WI.

As a youngster Bob attended the South Morgan (one room) grade school and graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1946. After graduation Bob worked the family farm prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army and serving during the Korean Conflict.

Upon returning from army service, he worked as a Machinist prior to being hired at the Pulliam Power Plant of the Wisconsin Public Service Corporation (WPS). Bob’s WPS career continued for 38 years as he performed the duties of Lineman, Line Foreman, Safety Advisor and Corporate Safety Supervisor.

In 1963 he married Donna Charboneau, the love of his life and together enjoyed a wide variety of activities including square dancing, boating, fishing (28 trips to Canada) and camping with the family. After retiring Bob and Donna traveled extensively throughout the country in their car and motorhome wintering 7 times in Tucson, Arizona.

Bob had many outdoor interests including hunting, fishing brook trout and camping. As a lifetime member of the Nicolet Rifle club and Brown County Sportsman Club he was passionate about sport shooting and regularly participated in trap, skeet and rifle range activities. Bob’s fondest memories included target shooting with his wife Donna, hunting with his sons and teaching several of his grandchildren to safely handle and shoot firearms at the range.

Bob is survived by his wife Donna, three sons: Greg (Wendy) Harteau; Tim (Laine) Harteau; Robert Jr (Gale) Harteau; his seven grandchildren: Justin (Becky) Tabalske; Luke (Klair Koenig) Tabalske; Maggie (Sean) Vinsel; Anna (Kevin) Makovsky; Erin Harteau; Evan Harteau; Danielle (Jon Cherny) Kimmeth; brother-in-law: Curt (JoAnn) Charboneau; nephew: James Lukes and his nine greatgrandchildren that lovingly called him Papa.
