In Loving Memory of

Clifford Ponchaud Jr.

1951 - 2020
Clifford Ralph Ponchaud, age 68 of the Town of Wescott, loving husband, father and grandfather was called home to be with his Lord Jesus and past loved ones on August 28th at home with his wife and loving family by his side.

Cliff was born October 2, 1951 in Chicago, son of the late Cliff and Shirley Ponchaud.
On July 16, 1983 he married the love of his life, Melody (Molly) Wruck at an outdoor Hayman Falls Park wedding in Pella, WI.Cliff worked 46 years as a Registered Land Surveyor for Nordins Surveying in Shawano until retiring in July 2020.Cliff was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Shawano, WI. Cliff was also a member of the Outcasts motorcycle club. He (Gumby) and Molly (Pokey) rode their Harleys with the club for 18 years. WHAT A RIDE!

Cliff was a kind, loving, gentle and giving man who cherished his family. His priority was to always be a loving husband to Molly, a proud, loving father, and a devoted grandfather to his six grandchildren. Several days a week he prepped gourmet candlelight dinners for date night with Molly. Saturday nights consisted of the whole family watching MeTV Svengoolie (the old black and white horror movies) and eating popcorn and snacks. He also enjoyed listening to all kinds of music for hours with his friend, David Hamm. Cliff was also a rummage sale king who always found the antiques and treasures that family and friends asked him to find. He loved teaching his grandchildren and friend Joy Fritz how to get the best deals and how to map out the best rummage route.

Cliff enjoyed years of riding his Harleys and BMW on many road trips throughout Canada and Michigan. He also enjoyed many years of camping, hiking, and biking at Boulder Lake with his family, his camper and ATV rides in Mountain, pontooning on Shawano lake, trout fishing at Agate Falls, MI, splitting the wood to heat the home for the winter, guns, playing pool and cribbage, making venison farmer sausage and pickles, and being a charcoal ONLY grill master!

Survivors include his devoted wife, Molly, two children Dylan (Bethany) Ponchaud of Muskegon, MI, Roxanne (Joel) Dickinson of Green Bay, three grandsons: Dylan, Elias, and Evan Ponchaud, three granddaughters: Pepper and Fern Dickinson and Ariana Ponchaud, his brother Jeff Ponchaud of Shawano, Nieces: Chrissy Ponchaud of Shawano and Nicky (Brian) Birkes of California.

A celebration of Cliff’s life will be held outdoors at the Kuckuk park, 700 Oak Drive Shawano WI, at 12:00 noon on Sunday September 6th with food and refreshments. Newcomer Funeral Home of Green Bay has been assisting the family.

A special thanks to all our family and friends who helped make things special these past weeks. Thank you for all the meals, help, support, kindness and prayers. Thank you to all the compassionate staff at Shawano Thedacare Hospital and the Thedacare Homecare Hospice team.
Cliff’s wishes were honored to enjoy the last part of his life at home with Molly, Dylan, Roxy and his badass Chihuahua Willie by his side.
