Wayne Marvin Seiler, age 85, passed away peacefully on March 19th at Woodside Lutheran Home, Green Bay. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ruth, and their two children and four grandchildren: Sandy, and her husband Mark (Dyckesville) and their two children Allison (Tennessee) and Zachary; and Mark, his wife Lisa, and their children Anika and Cooper (Chapel Hill, NC). He is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Wayne was born September 2, 1934 in Algoma. He was the son of Florence (Herlache) and Marvin Seiler, younger brother to Dale and older brother to Carol (Kuehl). They lived on a farm in Door County, and then later moved to Carnot. Their family ran the general store and gas station in Carnot for many years.

Wayne graduated from Algoma High School and then attended the Door-Kewaunee Teacher's College, as well as UW-Oshkosh and UW-Milwaukee to obtain a Master's Degree in Education. His long career in teaching started in a one-room schoolhouse and went to become a Vice Principal and Principal at numerous school districts. He was a strong advocate for the value of education. He then went on to co-own the Rite Type Equipment company for nearly 30 years.

Wayne married the love of his life, Ruth Doris Aebi, on November 18, 1961, in Milwaukee. They bought a home in Brookfield an resided there the next 55 years. They were very active members of Chirst the King Lutheran Church in Brookfield. They traveled to many destinations over the years, with their children, and then later as a couple.

His kindness, sense of humor, and storytelling will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will hold a a funeral at Unity Church- Christ the King Campus in Brookfield at a later date.
