Shirley Sprangers, 81, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Saturday, January 5, 2019, joining the love of her life, Jerry. She was born May 23, 1937 to the late Norbert and Helen (Vannes) Schampers.

Shirley married Gerald Sprangers on September 29, 1956 at St. Joseph’s Parish in Green Bay. Shirley and Jerry shared 47 years of marriage before Jerry passed away in 2003.

Shirley was a devout Christian who loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, crafting, flower arranging and gardening.

She is survived by her children: Sally (Michael) Jilot, Randy (Jill) Sprangers, and Scott (Mary) Sprangers and 6 grandchildren: Ted, Kimberly, Maximum, Hunter, Lincoln, and Ryder Sprangers. Further survived by her sister, Laverne (Norrie) Daniels and her brother, Ronald Schampers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norbert and Helen, husband, Jerry, son, Daniel and her brother, Vernon.

Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Church (1224 12th Avenue, Green Bay), Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 9am to 11am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am with Fr. Dave Schmidt, celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to St. Jude's Childrens' Hospital in Shirley's name are appreciated.
