In Memory Of
Barbara Lee Chrappa
1945 - 2018
My story began on December 24, 1945. I grew up in Paterson, New Jersey, the oldest child of Alice (Wanitschek) and Louis Chrappa, along with my brother David and my sister Isabel. Growing up I found great joy in reading, walking, dancing, and singing. I loved my work for the Government during the Viet Nam War as an electronics technician. I was a proofreader for a publishing co. and a telephone operator. Reading the Bible, Christian music and DVD's, playing Scrabble, taking long walks, singing, spending special time with my friends and my Church were ways I loved to spend my time. With great joy I was able to make others laugh with the best jokes I could find! I spent my days living and sharing God's Word, which alone has been my peace and my purpose. A sincere thank you to Joy, Brianna, Andrea and Ling at the Bole Agency for their compassion, empathy and kindness given to me always. To the Aurora Hospice team of Jessica, Stephanie, and Mary who were cared for me near the end. To Mannafest Church, my Pastors & friends, I'll always remember how very much you enriched my life and were such a big part of it. On December 11th I went to heaven. I leave behind my daughter Melanie Slater, my loving brother David, my sister Isabel Peters & her husband Jerry, nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A service celebrating Barbara's life will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
