Janet Louise Pomprowitz, age 67, of Ashwaubenon, passed away peacefully, Friday, October 26, 2018 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 29, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Donald and Patricia (Siegle) Vertress.

Janet earned her Bachelor's Degree from UW-Stout and went on to become a merchandise buyer at Prange's and Shopko. She married Roger Pomprowitz, January 4, 1980 in Green Bay and they were blessed with 38 years of marriage and 2 children.

Janet was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. She shared her passion for scrapbooking and card making by teaching others. Her greatest joy was becoming a grandmother to baby Jay.

Janet is survived by her husband, Roger; 2 children, Emily and Jack (Lara) Pomprowitz, Denver, CO; grandson, Jay Pomprowitz; sister, Carol (Bud) Klipa, Grand Rapids, MI; nephews, Andrew and Mitchell Klipa and Matthew, Daniel and Jimmy Ward; a niece, Meredith Laraway; and sisters-in-law, Janice Ward and Susan Pomprowitz.

Visitation will be held at First United Presbyterian Church (605 N. Webster Ave., De Pere), Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 9 to 11 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
