Robert "Bob" Radka, 83, of De Pere and formerly of Allouez, beloved husband of Joyce Radka, departed this life on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his home.
Bob was born on December 2, 1934 in Bloomington, IL son of the late Walter and Nellie (Friedrich) Radka. He was a lifetime member of Local 298/400 Plumbers and Steamfitters. Bob was one of the founders of the Local 298 Welding Pipe Trade School where he taught for 23 years. He had a great passion for his antique Ford 1942 tractor that he restored which he named Bessie. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family at the cottage on Seven Island. He and Joyce are communicants of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family and formerly of St. Willibrord Parish. Bob loved Steam Engines, Trains, and most importantly he loved his wife (who he always called Honey), children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce and their children: Robert Jr., Pam (Matt) Gransalke, Ramona (George) Morrow, and Michael (Cindy) Radka. Bob also leaves his sisters: Mary (John) Steinmeyer, and Patty (Mark) James along with 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son, Anthony Radka and a grandson, Robert Radka, brothers, Ralph, Michael, Joe, and a sister, Marcella Janssen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11th from 12 (noon) - 2 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, 1307 Lourdes Avenue, De Pere. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Michael's Chapel within the Church. Interment will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter.
