In Memory Of
Charles "Chuckie" Chlopek, Jr.
1952 - 2018

Charles (Chuckie) Chlopek, Jr, age 66, formerly of Sobieski, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 6, 2018, with his loving wife by his side. He was born on August 9, 1952 in Oconto Falls, WI, son of the late Charles and Cecelia (Oshefsky) Chlopek.

Charles married Bonnie Karcz on April 23, 1977 in Pulaski, WI. They shared 41 years of marriage and were blessed with three children and five grandchildren. They were faithful members of Ss. Edward and Isidore Church in Flintville, WI.

Faith and God filled Charlie in every aspect of his life. “It pays to go to church” was one thing he said and lived by. Chuckie was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. His all time favorite teams were the ones that his kids or grandkids were apart of. He enjoyed playing Sheepshead, and going to the casino with friends and family. His greatest joy was spending time with Bonnie around Lake Metonga taking pontoon rides, going on daily walks, fishing, and watching the eagles soar. They enjoyed many summers taking the kids and grandkids fishing, tubing, and reminiscing around the campfire. The things he cherished most in life were his family and his love of the outdoors. He was always willing to lend a hand, was quick-witted, and ready to joke with everyone. His laugh and smile was contagious and just his presence made everyone a better person.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Karcz), and their three children: Brian (Courtney) Chlopek, Sara (Christopher) Hronek and Katie (Lucas) Herms; Five grandchildren: Benson and Rowenn Chlopek, Bailey and Brody Hronek, and Charlie Herms; one brother, David (Jeany) Chlopek, two sisters: Beverly (Terry) Konitzer and Bonnie (Jeff) Domke; and one brother-in-law Dale Kanzenbach. In laws: Dennis (Linda) Karcz, Gary (Robyn) Karcz, Duane (Elaine) Karcz, Darlene (Craig) Garbrecht, Shirley (Pat) Kapla, Janice (Terry) Cayemberg. Chuckie is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Charles and Cecelia (Oshefsky) Chlopek, his two sisters Janet (Dan) VerKuilen and Barbara Kanzenbach and well as his mother and father law Peter and Esther (Nowak) Karcz.

Visitation will be held at Ss. Edward and Isidore Church (3667 Flintville Road, Suamico, WI 54313) Thursday October 11, 2018 from 9AM to Noon - followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Noon. Those attending the funeral Mass are invited to a luncheon that will follow in the church hall. Interment will be private in Ss. Edward and Isidore Cemetery.

A special thank you goes out to the Bissonette family, Jim and Amy Berge, and Shirley Kapla for being with Charlie in his last moments and providing comfort to Bonnie during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, all monetary donations will be given to the Pulaski Red Raider Field of Dreams in Chuck’s honor. Although we’re going to miss him dearly, we know he will always have the best seats in heaven. Be ready God, “Here he comes.”
