Donald L. Peterson, 69, of Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at his home, surrounded by family.

Donald was born in Green Bay on July 15, 1948 to the late Walter and Elizabeth (Van Doorn) Peterson. On August 24, 1987, Donald married his long-time friend, Sandy L. Welling. He was a loyal and dedicated employee, working at Packerland Packing in Green Bay for 41 years.
Donald loved going up north to his cabin, fishing, hunting, country music, and being outdoors. He will sadly be missed by his family and friends.

Donald is survived by his wife, Sandy; two brothers, Robert (Nancy VanArk) Peterson and Peter (Joleen Daniels); one sister, Barb (Glen) Parma; one brother-in-law, Irvin LaCount; and many nieces and nephews. Donald is preceded in death by his brother, Clarence; three sisters, Loretta, Lucille, and Betty; 2 brothers-in-law, Lester Blackburn and Dick Kluas; and one sister-in-law, Mildred Peterson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 6th from 10 AM - 12 PM at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A funeral service will follow at 12 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be in Floral Hill Cemetery.

A very special thank you to all of the wonderful staff at Unity Hospice for all the care and support given to Don and his family. A special thank you also to Mykayia and Vicki from Comfort Keepers who made Don's day when they came. Thanks again.
