Peg was born on August 16, 1937 in De Pere, WI daughter of the late Milfred and Ora (Leininger) Manning. She retired as a Nurse after 35 years of employment with St. Vincent Hospital. In her spare time she loved to play BINGO. She was also an avid knitter and enjoyed crocheting. In her retirement she was a foster grandparent at Encompass.
She is survived by her four children: Mike (Jo) Vanden Hoogen, Jim (Peggy) Vanden Hoogen, Scott Vanden Hoogen and Jeff Vanden Hoogen. Peg also leaves a brother, John Manning along with 11 grandchildren: Joshua, Mark, Amy, Laura, Jaime, Adam, Cory, Nicole, Lorissa, Tyler, and Kalilia, 10 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Peg is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Manning, two brothers, Don and Bud Manning and a sister-in-law, Shirley Manning.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14th from 4 PM - 7 PM at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A service celebrating Peg's life will follow at 7 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
Peg's family wishes to express their deep gratitude to Unity Hospice for the love and care given to her throughout her final journey.
