In Memory Of
Rose Marie "Pat" Kelly
1925 - 2018

Rose Marie "Pat" Kelly, age 92, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Thursday, February 15, 2018, surrounded by family. She was born September 30, 1925 to the late Rudolph and Florence (Karn) Schmitz.

Pat was born and raised in Green Bay. She attended St. Patrick's grade school, West High and Rosary College. Rose Marie married Paul F. Kelly on November 30, 1946 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Pat and Paul shared 56 loving years of marriage before he passed away in 2002.

Rose Marie "Pat" was a loving mother to many. She had a light-hearted, subtle sense of humor, endearing herself to all she met. Wherever she saw a need, she couldn't help but act upon it. Helping to make others feel comfortable and happy gave her great reward. She most enjoyed helping children through volunteer work at Resurrection, St. Matthew and the church. The children shared their love and admiration in return.

"Grannie Rosie" lived a wonderful life filled with joys and sorrows. She taught us all the importance of family, how to live a life of dignity and reverence, as well as some Irish shenanigans.

Rose Marie is survived by her children and their spouses: John Paul (Kimi) Kelly, Kathy Ruhland (MN), Mary K. Paul, Susan (Thomas) Weiler, Teri Kelly, Jane (Charlie) Kelly, Karen Patrickus and Leslie J. (Herbert J.) Konrad (NJ). She is lovingly survived by 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren: Paul, Thomas and Kiely Kelly, Adam (Danielle) Ruhland, Brad (Kara) Ruhland (Malcolm and Ivan), Erica (Conor) Ruhland, Brianna M. Paul, Emily (Matt) Mankowski (+1), Rose Weiler (Jesse) (Makayla and Madison Gilson), Robert Weiler, Jason (Michelle) Kelly (Samantha and Hunter), Brian (Megan) Kelly, David (Sarah) Patrickus (Ellie and Nolan), Lisa (Jeff) Dezelan (Aiden, Noah and Charlize), Krysten (Dave) Kiehl (Harrison and Ruby), Beth Patrickus (Jackson), Patricia (James) Watts (Anna, Matthew and Alex), Herbert J. (Kelli Moore) Konrad II (Sloane, Adeline and Jack), Kathryn Persinger (Abigail and Wyatt), Paul H. Konrad, Kelly (Christopher) DeYoung (Peter, Garrett and Meredith), Sarah (Justin) Giorla (Amelia, Rose +1). Pat was also blessed and survived by her brother, William (Adrienne) Schmitz, her sister, Mary Bartley, sister-in-law, Carol Schmitz, sister-in-law and dear friend, Tita (Kelly) Plouff and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael P. Kelly; son-in-law, Robert T. Paul; brothers, Richard (Naomi) and Jack Schmitz; sister, Jeanne Ann Schmitz, brother-in-law, Edward R. Bartley, Jr.; father and mother-in-law, Leslie and Bernice Kelly, Sr., brothers-in-law, Mickey Kelly, Jr., Thomas C. Kelly and Robert Kelly.

Visitation will be held at Resurrection Catholic Parish (333 Hilltop Dr., Green Bay), Monday, February 19, 2018 from 9 to 11 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM with The Most Reverend Robert Morneau, celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Rose Marie's name with gifts going to: St. John's Homeless Shelter (411 St. John's St., Green Bay, WI 54301), Unity Hospice (2366 Oak Ridge Cir., De Pere, WI 54115), St. Vincent DePaul (920 Weise St., Ste. D, Green Bay, WI 54302) or Green Bay Sail & Paddle (2020 Angie Ave., Green Bay, WI 54302).
