Daila H. Platte, age 90, of New London, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 with her family at her side. She was born May 5, 1927 in Elderon, WI, daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Bessett) Feavel and attended school in New London.

Daila married Clinton Platte and together they raised their 5 children. Daila was trained as a Physical Therapist and worked for many area medical facilities. She was a faithful member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London.

Daila was an avid trout fisherwoman and cross-country skier. She enjoyed her trips up to Lakewood and out to California to visit her sons. Daila and her son, Kevin participated in a skydive when she was 79 years old! Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Daila is survived by her 3 sons: Daniel Platte, Randall Platte and Kevin Platte (Maricruz); 6 grandchildren: Kim Kargus, Lisa Young, Keith Platte, Gretchen Platte, Kevin Platte II and Eva Platte and 8 great-grandchildren: Brandi Kargus, Matt Palmer, Aydin Clemens, Elliott Clemens, Nicole Young, Aleesa Young, Jake Palmer and Justin Palmer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton; a daughter, Cheryl Palmer; a son, Jeff Platte and a grandson, Tim Palmer.

Visitation will be held at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church (712 S. Pearl St., New London), Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 9 to 11 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM with Fr. John Kleinschmidt, celebrant. Interment will be in Most Precious Blood Cemetery.
