Irene "Renee" Klein, 93, of Green Bay, beloved wife of the late Harlan Joseph Klein, departed this life on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.

Irene was born on August 17, 1924 in Lincoln, WI, daughter of the late Ervin and Julia (Stangel) Van Lannen. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles and reading.

She is survived by her three children: Bonnie (Bruce) Barlament, Brian Klein, and Brenda Klein. Irene also leaves her sister, Carol (Joe) Nachtwey and four grandchildren: Jennifer, Rachael, Brittany, and Brianna. Irene is preceded in death by a son, Bruce Klein, and her brothers: Arnold, Ervin Jr., and Kenneth.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 4 - 6 PM at Newcomer, Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A funeral service will follow at 6 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be the Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.

Irene and her family wish to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Unity Hospice for the comfort and care given to her throughout her final journey.
