Gary was born on June 24, 1935 in Green Bay, WI son of the late George and Sarah (Bourain) Naze. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School Class of 1953. After High School he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force as an Instructor of Mechanics and Flight. On January 4, 1958 he married Judith Gittens and they made their home in Green Bay. He began his career in the HVAC industry in both Green Bay and Marinette. Gary later retired after 35 years from Paper Converting Machine Company. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially duck hunting with his lab Tar. He and Judy enjoyed fun trips to the local Wisconsin and Upper Michigan Casinos. He also enjoyed studying history of the World Wars and other topics. Gary loved wood working and built all of the cabinets for his and Judy's retirement home on the Peshtigo River. He was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. Gary will be remembered for his strong faith as a devout Catholic.
He is survived by his wife Judith and children: Debbie (Gary) Nadolny, Peggy Stinehart, Michael Naze. He also leaves a sister, Joanne (Mike) Zalec, along with a granddaughter, Jennifer (Melissa) Carviou and great grandchildren: London and Lincoln Carviou. Gary also leaves his step-grandchildren: Dan (Abbie) Nadolny, and Chris (Heather) Nadolny, numerous step-great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends. Gary is preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Ebben, a son-in-law, Everett Stinehart, and a step-granddaughter, Alison Frank.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at St. Willebrord Church, 209 S. Adams Street, Green Bay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following visitation in the church. Interment to follow at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Newcomer Cremations Funeral & Receptions of Green Bay has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association.
Gary's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Unity Hospice, Rennes Healthcare, and Bay Area Medical Center for the wonderful care given to him during his illness.
