1926 - 2017

Doris "Dorie" Steeno, 90, of Howard, beloved wife of 69 years to Milton "Milt" Steeno, entered into Eternal Life on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Tender Hearts Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family.

Dorie was born on October 15, 1926 in Green Bay, WI, daughter of the late Ralph and Esther (Sorenson) Geyer. Dorie was a lifelong resident of Green Bay. She and Milt met in 1943 and they married on May 22, 1948 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay. She was a wonderful homemaker, seamstress, mother, and grandmother. She loved Christmas and all that came with it. She was a lifelong Communicant of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.

She is survived by her husband Milton, and their four daughters: Terry (Tom) Siudzinski, Barb (Larry) Vierzba, Janet (Bernie) Lotto, and Mary Steeno. Dorie is also survived by two sisters: Carol Holzem and Patty King, along with 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Dorie is preceded in death by her siblings: Richard Geyer, Mary Perry, and Betty Baenen.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 9 - 10:45 AM at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 411 St. John Street, Green Bay. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM in the Church. Entombment will be Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions of Green Bay has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, 600 Highland Avenue, JF/1 Mezzanine, Madison, WI 53792.

Dorie's family wishes to extend their special heartfelt thanks to the staff of Tender Hearts Assisted Living and to Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care given to her. They were her angels.
