Audrey H. (Haselhuhn) Mueller, 89, joined the Lord on Monday, November 24, 2014.

She was born on October 4, 1925, in Chicago, IL, to the late Robert & Bernice Haselhuhn.

Audrey joined the Army Cadet Nurse Corp in WWII. The war ended before she finished her training.

She was a nurse, caring for others for 42 years. She was the Head Nurse in hospitals in Milwaukee and Anchorage, head of Quality Assurance for a Nursing home chain in Northern Wisconsin, until her retirement due to health issues.

Audrey received her bachelor's degree in nursing in 1982.

She was an animal lover from the beginning, having cats and dogs throughout her adult life.

Audrey was an avid reader and a member and true supporter of the Friends the Library in Three Lakes.

She loved Wisconsin Public Broadcasting and was a supporter for many years.

Audrey is survived by son, Bill (Lynn) Mueller; grandchildren, Matthew & Ashley Huempfner's and Riley & Ethan Mueller; brother, Jerry (Jean) Haselhuhn; nieces, Laura & Mike Nees, Karen & Chris Amack, Debbie & Jim Kerns, and Katie & Brian Shearer; all of their children; several cousins and other family; and many longtime friends in Three Lakes, and Eagle River WI.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Anne.
She loved the North Woods, and will be with The Lord there this Spring. A celebration of life will be held in the near future.

To all her friends and family that knew Audrey, you all understand that she is in a place that she has been before, and has looked forward to going back to - she is very happy and without pain.
