In Memory Of
Victoria T. Seeger
1928 - 2014

Victoria T. Seeger, 86, Green Bay, went to meet her Savior on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, and was welcomed into Heaven to join her recently departed husband.

She was born on March 22, 1928, in Milwaukee, to the late Angelo and Madeline Salamone. Victoria was an exceptional scholar and graduated with high honors from Lincoln High School in Milwaukee. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison on an academic scholarship, studied under the famed researcher Dr. Harry Harlow, and graduated with a degree in biology in 1950.

Vicky married Walter Seeger on July 14, 1951, in Milwaukee. They joyously celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this past summer in the presence of their family.

Victoria was employed by the Schlitz Brewery in Milwaukee for three years prior to starting and raising her family. As her children grew older, she returned to the workforce, this time as a teacher in the Milwaukee Public School District.

Always a lady of grace, compassion, humility, and wisdom, Victoria will be remembered as a faithful Christian, a wonderful mother, and a most generous and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid reader who loved traveling with her family, especially to Walt Disney World. Following her retirement, Victoria continued her service to the community as an adult ESL tutor, and as a church volunteer. Among the many things she will be remembered for by her grandchildren are the delicious Italian cookies she made. She will also be remembered as a person of high intelligence, wit, and skills who never sought the limelight yet who would never hesitate to share her gifts with others.

Survivors include her children, Barbara (Edward) Dorff, Jim (Judy) Seeger and Daniel (Kris) Seeger; grandchildren, Nathaniel “Ned” (Lindsay) Dorff, Cassandra Dorff, Jennifer (Andrew) Vanover, Kristi (Abe) Goepfert, Jason Seeger, Amy Seeger, Stacey Seeger, Daniel (Valerie) Seeger, Michael Seeger, and Lucas Dahl; and nine great grandchildren, Jonah, Silas, Eli, Hazel, Reuben, Liam, Odin, Weston, Reed and Delano; two sisters, Margaret Feyrer of Slinger Wisconsin and Mary Ann (Jerry) Callen of Cedarburg Wisconsin; and many nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Walter, who passed in August of this year.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of Memorial Service at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 743 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, with Pastor Paul Schleis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
