In Memory Of
Lois Ann Abel
1936 - 2014

It is with overwhelming sadness to share Lois Ann Abel passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 . She was born December 1, 1936 in Larsen, WI to the late Marvin and Edith (Carpenter) Holverson.

She was a graduate of UW Oshkosh and taught in the Green Bay School District for numerous years.

She was a very loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Lois enjoyed traveling, bowling, playing cards, and attending all grandkids (from the first to the last) sporting events. Through all kinds of weather, she never missed a game, sometimes going to a few in the same night.

Lois Ann is survived by her husband Donald; children, Lisa (Todd) Curtis, Pete (Lori) Abel, Becky (Jeff) VanBoxel; grandchildren, Amber (Abe), Justin, Josh, Jaret, Jalyssa, Cade, Travis; great-grandchildren, Emma, Adalyn, and Landon; sister, Carol Otto; brothers, Lowell (Neita) Holverson and Earl (Peggy) Holverson; sister-in-law, Margaret Ashmann; brother-in-law, Roy (Nancy) Porter.

She is preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Vernice Abel; brothers-in-law, Eldon Otto and Paul Ashmann and sister-in-law, Joan Porter.

To anyone that knew Lois Ann, she was always putting their interests ahead of hers. Words cannot express how our worlds will change without her here.

Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 3:00pm Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1301 S Ridge Rd, Green Bay. A memorial service will be held at the church at 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
