Dean was born on June 10, 1934 in Chase, WI, son of the late Francis and Irma (Carriveau) Blaser. Dean enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean Conflict serving aboard the USS Baltimore. As a young man Dean enjoyed farming, and later drove truck for 30 years. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, motorcycling with family and friends, and spending time in Florida.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Donna of Suamico and their children: Jerry (Linda) Blaser, Tom (Julie) Blaser, Kim Blaser, Rick (Cathy) Blaser, and Cindy (Jay) Dittmer. He also leaves his grandchildren: Gregg Blaser, Brent (Kathy) Blaser, Angela Blaser, David Elst, Carissa Elst, Amanda Elst, Laura (Tyler) Craner, Andrea Dittmer, Nick Dittmer, and Shawn Ringer in addition to Great Grandchildren: Torrie Kranz, Kiara Blaser, Coleman Kent, Trenton Craner, Saphia Craner, Parker Blaser, and Casey Blaser. Dean also leaves a sister, Joyce (Donny) Hendzel. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Blaser, a brother Jack Blaser and a nephew, Randy Hendzel.
Visitation will be held on Saturday May 14th from 9 AM - 12 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A Memorial Service will follow in the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Interment will be private. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to Amanda Enright RN and the staff of Aseracare Hospice for the wonderful care given to Dean through his illness.
