In Memory Of
Gerald "Jerry" Mullins
1931 - 2016

Remembering the life, death and legacy of Gerald R. Mullins, 84, who passed away unexpectedly at his home January 18th, 2016.

Born April 14, 1931, in Stark, WI, he was the second of six Irish sons born to the late Dennis and Florence (Flaherty) Mullins. Jerry attended Catholic Central and proudly served his country overseas in the Army-Air Corps. He joined Schuster Construction then in 1954 joined the Local Carpenters 1146. His entire career was with the union. Jerry never missed a union meeting. He was quite a prankster and nicknamed by his friends as “Moonbeam”. Jerry enjoyed bowling with the men at Golden Bowl, Keglers Klub and later years at Riviera. His trips to the Brewers game with local 1146 each year were always something he looked forward to with Mike, Tom and Jack. We will miss our monthly liver and onions at the Eagles Club, Christmas lunch at Riverside, but his early morning “TOOT TOOT” will continue to go on from above.

Jerry is survived by his brothers: Bob (Carol) Mullins of Ypsilanti, MI, Tom Mullins, Saukville, WI and Allen (Hope) Mullins of Saukville, WI; sister-in law, Wanda Mullins of Lansing, MI; many nieces and nephews and his extended family, Mike and Karen (Verheyen) Beno, who welcomed Jerry for every holiday and birthday and shared their life, their children and their grandchildren with him every day. He is further survived by John & Jill Verheyen and family and Timothy Verheyen and Family. Gunner will miss Grandpa Jerry, as he looked forward to him sneaking treats and taking him for his walk.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Florence Mullins; 2 brothers, Michael and Patrick Mullins; sister-in-law, Ruth Mullins and special friend, Elaine Verheyen, who he courted for many years.

Friends and relatives may call at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay) on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 3 to 5:45 PM. A prayer service will follow at 6 PM. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery-Stark, WI.

A VERY SPECIAL Thank You from Karen to “Mikey“ Beno who was always there to see that his car was running for trips to the post office and a working phone for those important calls. Thank You to Pat and Tom Meulemans and Kathy Schroeder for your help through this unimaginable time.
