James Allen Nagel, 68, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in Green Bay. He was born in Green Bay on March 31, 1947 the son of Lloyd and Mary (Ohrmundt) Nagel.

He attended local schools and was a 1965 graduate of Green Bay East High School. Jim served honorably in the US Army and would go on to work as a railroad engineer for the Chicago North Western Railroad. Jim loved animals, especially his beloved dog, Zeus. He enjoyed cooking and baking and was an avid Packer fan. He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and astronomy.

Jim is survived by his mother, Mary Nagel and his sisters Linda (John) Wier, Kitty Nagel and his dog Zeus. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd.
Friends and relatives may call at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay) on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 5 to 6:45 PM. A service will be held at 7 PM with Military Honors to follow. Entombment will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be donated to K9’s For Warriors, this charity gives a new leash on life to rescue dogs and our military heroes.
