In Memory Of
Wanda J. Rempett
1928 - 2015
Wanda was born August 1, 1928 in Sheboygan, WI, daughter of the late William “Bill” and Florella “Ella” (Boyce) Paige. After moving to Green Bay, she graduated from East High School in 1947. Wanda was employed as a telephone operator before meeting and marrying Bob, May 19, 1951. Together they raised 5 daughters.
Wanda’s joys were playing Bingo and Pinochle in which she seldom lost. In her earlier years, she loved to play golf (she was recognized many times for her low scores, including an Eagle) and she took pride in serving as president of her golf league at Royal Scot where she formed many close friendships. Wanda was an avid sports fanatic and enjoyed watching all kinds of sports, especially her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Her greatest joys came from raising her daughters and being involved in her grandchildren’s lives. She was so proud of not only their achievements, but also of their character.
Wanda is survived by her daughters: Jean (Daniel) Paye, Patricia Rempett, Julie (Tim) Ferral, Robin (special friend, Brian Bierhals) Rempett and Carolyn (Brad) Brick of Vancouver, WA; grandchildren: Jennifer (Aric) Weber, Eric Paye, Robby Brick, Katelyn Ferral, Kyle Ferral, Brittany Brick, Connor Ferral, Branden Brick and Christian Brick; great-grandchildren, Gavin Paye and Grant Weber; sister-in-law, Donna Paige; special pet, Gracie Kelly; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Robert Rempett; her parents; sisters, Evelyn VandenEng and Nona Borowitz; brothers Harlan and Graham Paige; her brother and sisters-in-law: Alfred Rempett, Evelyn Ziebarth, Mildred Schilling, Katherine Jadin and Marion Rempett.
Friends and relatives may call at Christ Alone Church, (505 E. Allouez Avenue, Green Bay) Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 9 to 12 NOON. A funeral service will follow at 12 NOON with Pastor Ted Tromble officiating. Entombment will be in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
"One of the most wonderful things about growing up was having you for our mother. With a pat on the back or a shoulder to cry on; you were always there. Many people search for years to find a friend as warm and sensitive as you. Lucky us, we didn’t have to look far; we had you. Thank you, mom."
