Sister Marjorie Fabry (formerly known as Sister Luke), age 93, a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross, died on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Grancare Nursing Center, Green Bay, WI

Marjorie Anne Fabry was born on October 14, 1921 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, daughter of the late John and Agnes (Reed) Fabry. She entered the convent in 1946, professed her vows in 1949, and celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in 2007. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from St. Norbert College, De Pere, WI.

Sister Marjorie served as an elementary teacher at St. Boniface, DePere, Holy Angels, Darboy, St. Joseph, Marinette, St. Kilian, New Franken, Sts. Peter and Paul, Institute, and St. John the Baptist, Howard. She also served as a homemaker at Holy Trinity, Casco and St. Mary, Peshtigo and was a parish visitor at All Saints, Denmark. She served at the Chapel in Champion and in Community service at St. Francis Convent, Green Bay until her retirement there in 2006.

Survivors include the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross, Associates, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Agnes Fabry; two brothers, Harold and Raymond; and two sisters, Patricia Brice, and Ollie Bos.

Sister Marjorie will be missed and remembered for her generous service in Community and for her peaceful acceptance of suffering in her final years of life.

Friends may call at St. Francis Convent, 3110 Nicolet Drive, Green Bay on Sunday, March 29 at 4:00 p.m. for the reception of the body and visitation. The Vigil Service will be at 6:30 p.m. at the convent. Visitation for Sister Marjorie will continue on Monday, at St. Francis Convent from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in the convent chapel with Rev. David Koch presiding. Burial will be in the St. Francis Convent Cemetery.
