Linda M. Wood (DeValk) 70 of Howard, passed away peacefully at her home on July 13, 2018 surrounded by loving family.
She was born September 12, 1947, to the late Harry and Evelyn (Weyenberg) DeValk. She married the late Michael L. Wood on August 9, 1969. They lived in Crooked Lake, WI for 30 years and raised 3 children. After Michael's passing, Linda returned to Howard to be with her family.
Linda's biggest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always had Smarties candy and other treats in her purse to hand out to the kids! She enjoyed taking rides up north & stopping for ice cream with the great grandchildren, as well as watching her granddaughters softball games. Linda also enjoyed puppy sitting and going on her weekly outing to River St. Pier for her sign-in and dice games.
Survivors include her children, Vicki (Don) Parrish & Kevin (Kari) Wood; Grandchildren, Rylee (Allen) Hattabaugh, Logan Parrish, Karigann Wood & Kerena Wood; Great Grandchildren, Carsyn Kleczka, Allisyn Hattabaugh & Bristyl Hattabaugh; Sister, Sharon (Glen) Weycker; Brother-in-law, Bob (Connie) Zingler; Sisters-in-law, Shirley (Virg) Johnson & Sharon Wood; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Evelyn DeValk; her husband Mike; daughter Traci: Siblings: Dean DeValk, Wayne (Judy) DeValk, Gary (Carol) DeValk, LaVonne (Dick) Rose, Connie Zingler, infant sister Joemaine & nephew Patrick Weycker.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Ave.
