Germaine Ettien, 82, of Green Bay, departed this life peacefully on Saturday, June 9, 2018 in her family's home, with her loving family by her side.

Germaine was born on October 30, 1935 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Carl and Frances (Pierre) Kurowski. She retired after over 25 years of service from Green Bay Public Schools. Throughout her career she enjoyed working with the many students that passed through the school. Germaine loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Life revolved around her love of family. Germaine loved children and was a grandmother to the many foster children that were cared for by her own children. She was a long time member of St. Matthew's Parish.

Germaine is survived by three children: Treasa (Ken) Tomcheck, Catherine (Robert) Doyen, and Lynn (Shelley) Ives. She also leaves 9 grandchilden: Jodi, James, and Amanda Tomcheck, Cody, Jessie, and Hope Doyen, and Eric Ives, Valerie (Jordan) Ives, and Annie Ives, in addition to one great grandson, Parker Tomcheck. Germaine is also survived by numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death her son, Joseph James Ettien, a grandson, Ryan Doyen and several siblings.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 9 AM - 10:45 AM at St. Matthew's Parish, 130 St. Matthew's Parish, 130 St. Matthew's Street, Green Bay. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM in the Sanctuary of the Church. Interment will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
