In Memory Of
Nancy J. Bergman
1935 - 2018

Nancy Bergman, age 82, passed away Sunday night, April 22, 2018 at Angels Touch Assisted Living after a 12 year battle with Alzheimer’s. Nancy was born on October 20th, 1935 in Merrill, WI, to Spencer and Margaret Roou. In 1957, she and Harold Bergman were married in Rhinelander, WI, and had two children, Lori Sherman (Mark) of Boxborough, MA and Eastham, MA and Randy Bergman (Andrea) of Hickory, NC.

In addition to her children and husband she is survived by grandchildren, Mark Sherman (Leslie), Dan Sherman (Julie), Stephen Sherman, Jennifer Bergman, Grant Bergman (US Navy). She also has four great-grandchild, Kaylen, Emma, and Cora Sherman, and Blake Sherman. She is also survived by her siblings Jerry Roou and Mary Kay Hastreiter of Rhinelander, WI.

Nancy loved her home in De Pere on the Fox River and enjoyed decorating her home, gardening, and traveling with their special friends on several trips to Europe and within the United States. She was a member of the Ladybugs garden club for many years. She enjoyed boating on the Fox River and she and Harold spent many wonderful hours on the river in their 38 years in De Pere. She loved her family dearly and missed being able to travel the past few years due to the progress of her Alzheimer’s. Nancy will be dearly missed by the entire family.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date for family and friends. Her wish was for a private service for family members. The family wishes to thank all the angels at Angel’s Touch for their compassion and care they provided during her stay as well as the Steinfeldt family who became our friends during the past year. They are truly special people. In addition, the family thanks the folks at Asera Care, especially, Kayla, Nancy’s hospice nurse for the last few months. Kayla’s concern and care for Nancy was exceptional. Special thanks to Father Paul Demuth for providing spiritual support for Nancy and the family in the final days of her life. In remembrance of Nancy, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s foundation or the Alzheimer’s association in her name.
