LaVerne M. Roberts, Green Bay resident, passed to join her beloved husband in Heaven early Wednesday, April 18, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 86. She was born in Sugarbush, WI on December 17, 1931, the daughter of Michael and Laura Mertens.

On April 23, 1949 she married Quentin M. Roberts and together they raised three children: Patrick Roberts, Patti Roberts, Peggie Himmel and devoted pet, Rocky.

Her greatest joy was her grandchildren: Michael Himmel, Erin (Adam) Hock, Jodi Roberts, and Erica (Lewis) Busse along with great-grandchildren: Kennedy, Kendall, and Kendrick Himmel, Rachel and Noah Hock, Jaida Roberts, Jordyn Trombley, and Blake Roberts, Gavin, Nathan and Gretchen Busse, and great-great granddaughter, Ariel Roberts. Included is LaVerne’s daughter-in-law, Cynthia Roberts and her children: Aaron (Becky) Williams, Dustin and Jared (Julie) Peters.

She is further survived by siblings: Richard Mertens, Maryanne DeBruin, Rose (Ronald) Fayes, Deloris LaCrosse, Marcella Kaye, Rita LeGreve, Marvin (Charlotte) Mertens, Diane Guhl, and Eugene (Debra) Mertens.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, April 20, 2018 from 1:00pm to 2:00 pm at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum (2770 Bay Settlement Road, Green Bay). A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm with entombment to follow at 2:30pm.
