Wayne K. Scholtz, age 64, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018, with his grandson, Corey, by his side.

He was born on December 12, 1953, in Escanaba, MI, to the late Robert & Doris Scholtz.

Wayne graduated from Gladstone High School in 1972, where he played football. He was a Boy Scout and reached rank of Eagle Scout.

He married Linda Peronto on September 30, 1978. They lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan until they moved to Green Bay.

Wayne worked as a welder for most of his life, and retired from KI in Bonduel in 2015.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, hunting, especially time spent at the hunting camp.

Wayne had the type of personality that no one ever forgot. He always made people laugh. Wayne was always selfless and put others before him. His family and friends will deeply miss him and his sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Linda; two daughters, Melanie (Shawn Boehler) Scholtz and Kimberly Scholtz; grandson, Corey Scholtz; brothers, Gary (Elizabeth) Scholtz, Sr. and Alan Scholtz; sister, Barbara Washa; many nieces and nephews; and very dear friend, Steve Hutte.
