Yvonne Thornton, 82, of Green Bay, beloved wife of the late James L. Thornton Sr., died on Sunday, April 1, 2018.

Yvonne was born on December 27, 1935 in Green Bay, daughter of the late John Kajune and Anna Wetterneck.

She is survived by two sons: James L. Thornton II (Melanie) and LeRoy Thornton. She also leaves her grandchildren: Tabetha Thornton, James Thornton III, Rachel Thornton, Jonathan (Tanya) Schoessow, Karie Schoessow, Justin Schoessow, Ty Schoessow, Jason Thornton, Jennifer Evensen, along with great grandchildren, Dustin Niha Houa Yang, Jacob James Lloyd Yang, Heidi, Julie, and Jamie Schoessow, Alec and Ethan Evensen, Malakye and Josiah Schoessow, Noah and Sterling Berberich, along with numerous extended family. She is preceded in death by daughter, Christine Schoessow, and four sisters: JoAnne DeMaine, Ramona Tassoul, Juanita Mertens, and Dawn Woods.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11th from 10 - 11 AM at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the funeral home. Interment will be in Spencer Lake Memorial Park.
