Gordy married Gayle Skinner, September 18, 1971 in Arlington Heights, IL and together they shared 46 loving years of marriage and raised 3 children. Gordy retired from Pioneer Metal Finishing in 2015.
Gordy loved nature and being outdoors. His passions were kayaking, snow-shoeing, skiing, hiking and spending time on his property in Watersmeet, MI around the campfire with his family. Photography was one of his favorite hobbies. He also enjoyed shopping and cheering on the Packers and Badgers. Gordy was a loving husband and proud father and grandfather of 6 grandchildren. Although he cherished the time he spent with all of his grandkids, he especially enjoyed the recent trip he took to Glacier National Park with his oldest grandson, Brock.
Gordon willl be sadly missed by his wife, Gayle; his 3 children: Brett Malach, Lisa (Pete) Hermes and Marc Malach; 5 grandchildren: Brock, Maya, Maddie "Moose", Kallie and Blake; his brother, David (Maryanne) Malach of Florida and a sister, Geri (Marvin) Gilster of Idaho. He is further survived by his mother-in-law, Dorothy Skinner of Illinois; a brother-in-law, Cam Waltmire and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Chris Yurk; a grandson, Luther Malach; sister, Diane Stanage; father-in-law, Frank Skinner; brother-in-law, Skip Skinner; sister-in-law, Susan Waltmire; his beloved Shepherd, Chelsey and other relatives and friends.
