In Memory Of
Margaret A. "Marge" Smith
1938 - 2017
Marge was born on March 29, 1938 in Ogema, WI, daughter of the late Andrew and Eleanor (Wicks) Weinand, and due to an untimely death she was raised by her beloved aunt and uncle, Adam and Elizabeth Anderson. She and Ralph were joined in marriage on May 29, 1954.
Margaret will always be remembered for her amazing inner strength and unconditional love for family. Her greatest joy in life came from the time she was able to spend with her children, grand children and great grandchildren. Margaret had many passions in life, but her greatest pleasure came from traveling with her husband. Together they had a shared passion for antiques and working the flea markets. Margaret and her husband also had a love for music. She for many years found peace and comfort in hearing her husband play various instruments at home and in the Woodside band. The family would like to extend a heartfelt and sincere thank you to all who cared for and loved Marge during her stay at Woodside Lutheran Home. Our family now has comfort knowing that she is at peace in heaven with her husband Ralph and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her four children: Eleanor (Harry) Marquardt, Terry (LuAnn) Smith, Karen Smith, and Deborah (Allen) Menard. Marge also leaves 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Delores Weinand along with several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Johnson and a brother, Leonard Weinand.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 1 - 3 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions in Green Bay. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 3 PM. Interment will be private.
