In Memory Of
Amy Rose Heder
1971 - 2017

Amy Rose Heder died peacefully at her home in Green Bay on Thursday, August 03, 2017. The daughter of William and Mary (Brickner) Heder, she was born and baptized on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1971, at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee. She completed her education at St. Coletta School in Jefferson, WI.

Amy brought love and delight into the lives of many persons. “Turkey” was her term of endearment for those she especially liked. She often posed a “Question,” followed by an announcement that she was “making a mistake!” She enjoyed helping others, swinging Holly, petting her puppy Tiki, charting, taking photos, making phone calls, watching game shows - especially Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune - and drinking coffee. She was keenly observant and possessed great long-term memory.

She will be greatly missed by her great aunt, Theresa Devroy (Mountain), maternal uncles and aunts, John & Janet Brickner (Auburndale), Sister Sally Ann Brickner (Green Bay) who was her guardian since 2008, Mark & Judy Brickner (Winder, GA), Patricia & Marcus Sanders (Rio Rancho, NM), Stephen & Ellen Brickner (Suring), Lawrence & Gail Brickner (Muskego), many cousins, and her housemates and caregivers at Bufflehead Home.

Welcoming Amy into eternal life are her mother, Mary, her maternal grandparents, Marcellus & Evelyn Brickner, her beloved great uncle, Richard Devroy, aunts, Barbara (Tony) Czech and Norma Brickner, and uncle, Michael Brickner, who was her guardian from 1991-2008.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until 11:00 am at St. Matthew Church, 130 St. Matthew Street in Green Bay on Monday, August 7, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am with Rev. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Klondike.

Amy’s family extends deep gratitude to the staff at Alverno Home in Jefferson, WI, where Amy lived from 1991-2008, Innovative Services in Green Bay who served her faithfully since 2008, Lakeland Care District, and Unity Hospice.
