David Barber, 65, of Suttons Bay, MI, beloved husband of Page Kurtz, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Marquette General Hospital.
David was born on September 21, 1951, in Flint, Michigan son of Gloria (Angelwicz) Barber and the late Ralph W. Barber. He was a First Mate Merchant Seaman who was employed with VanEnkevort Tug and Barge, and sailed many times on the waters of the Great Lakes.
He is survived by his wife Page, and four children: Sarah Barber, David Barber, Courtney Kurtz, and Ellis Kurtz. David also leaves his beloved grandchildren, a brother, Ron Barber, sister, Patty Fisher along with several nieces, nephews, relatives, shipmates, and friends.
