Cindy L. Monfils
1969 - 2017

Cindy L. Monfils, 47, of De Pere, beloved mother of Katelynn Monfils, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 24, 2017 .

Cindy was born on December 18, 1969 in Green Bay, daughter of Milton and Judith (Duval) Cross. She was a graduate of the Class of 1988 of Green Bay East High School. She started her work career at the age of 15 at Hardees where she eventually became the Assistant Manager. Cindy then was a stay at home Mom taking care of her daughter. She later graduated from Martin School of Hair Design in 1995 where she became a Nail Technician for 22 years. During her career she had so many beloved clients that were so special to her. Cindy also took a CNA class at NWTC and graduated in 2010.

In her spare time she loved spending time with her family and friends. Cindy especially loved spending time up north at the family cottage in Twin Bridge, WI. She loved sitting by bonfires, jet skiing, boating, and cookouts. She also loved to cook and was a huge fan of the Food Network channel, which she was convinced kept her appetite going. Cindy had a contagious laugh which those around her loved.

Her memory will live on with her daughter Katelynn (and Fiance' Jason Bercot and his child Carter) and her parents Milton and Judy Cross, along with a sister, Lisa (Bob) O'Leary, and half sister, Karleen Cross, a niece, KaCie Ley, and severals Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Cindy is preceded in death by her grandparents, Gilbert (Violet) Duval, Lemie (Julia) Cross, and half brother Kevin Cross.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28th from 4 - 6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A service celebrating Cindy's life will follow at 6 PM in the funeral home. Entombment will be at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.

Cindy and the family would like to thank Dr. Luke Warpinski and his staff at Aurora Medical Group, also the entire staff at Unity Hospice in De Pere.
